David Brocklehurst
Principal

David comes from a horse breeding family from Cheshire and has previously worked with  horses in the French racing centre of Chantilly and in the United Kingdom. He is a great racing enthusiast and has also ridden ‘between the flags’.

Caroline Brocklehurst
Stud Manager

Caroline is responsible for all aspects of the stud’s breeding programme and the welfare of the horses. She has bred winners and placed horses from all the stud’s mares since it started eight years ago.

Jason Paxton
Assistant Stud Manager

Jason has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, commencing at Dalham Hall Stud and with Darley in the UK, Ireland and USA, carrying out general stud duties, before joining Longholes Stud in Newmarket as stallion man.
He has also worked at the Haunui Farm in New Zealand and at Sheikh Hamdan al Maktoum’s Nunnery Stud in Thetford foaling mares and preparing yearlings for sale.

Sonia Wrigley, BSc (Hons) Equine, HND Animal Science, BHSAI

Sonia is a member of the Association of Mc Timoney-Corley Spinal Therapists, treating horses by manipulation techniques. She also specialises in finding stress-free solutions to all aspects of horse handling, such as problems with loading, shoeing, veterinary treatment, etc., concentrating on developing a partnership with the horse which can result in a major change in behaviour.

Christine Stacey 
Assistant Groom

Chrissy was born in Australia, where she obtained a Diploma in stud management. She has worked for Arrowfield, Fieldhouse Stud (NZ) and trainer John Meagner, amongst others, before travelling to the USA. There she worked for Fred Seitz and Bill Wofford. In the 1990s, she worked at the Mellon Stud (Ireland) before joining Weatherbys.
She assists in foaling and the preparation of yearlings.

Chris Anson
Yard Man

Chris is responsible for all of the general stud maintenance. This includes looking after all the outdoor equipment and keeping all the fencing maintained.
